Description

This training course is at the request of our many Dutch and German friends who live in Haute-Marne.

The Meditation

When the mind is calm, being happy is easier and we can then more peacefully actualize the happiness that is naturally found within us. At the beginning, it is therefore a question of familiarizing ourselves with the luminous qualities of our mind in order to cultivate and develop them.

We are increasingly recognizing the benefits of meditation on several levels. Whether for its emotional, psychological benefits or even for the reduction of health problems, more and more people are turning to meditation to improve their lives. But what is meditation really? Is it simply a method for clearing your mind or a technique for relieving tension, or is it more than that?

The meaning of meditation

“Meditation” (gom in the Tibetan language) comes etymologically from the word khom in the same language, which means “to become familiar”. All of the Buddha's teachings are intended for meditation, which itself falls into two categories: concentration and analysis. Concentration meditation aims to focus the mind, which itself allows it to remain stable and clear on a chosen object of meditation. Its practice allows the achievement of mental calm, which is the peaceful abode of the mind combined with total manageability of the mind and a state of great physical and mental well-being. Analytical meditation, for its part, involves a movement of the mind, through the use of different logical reasoning to eliminate false perceptions and understandings which are the roots of mental disturbances and suffering. It grows understanding or higher vision.

Cancellations

We will now only reimburse 50% of the retreat amount in the event of last minute cancellations, for example 16 days before the activity. Activities are often sold out several weeks in advance with small groups of people. A last minute cancellation therefore unfortunately prevents people from organizing and participating, not to mention the costs incurred for a specific number of participants. We can provide a full refund 30 days before an activity but only 50% if the cancellation is between 30 and 15 days. No refund will be possible 15 days before the activity concerned. It is therefore important to be serious when making your reservation. We thank you for your understanding.
